4-Hole Backing Plate is used as a large washer on the opposite side of the wood from another component to strengthen the connection and help spread the applied load across a much larger surface of wood. It is most commonly used opposite components (dock hinges, chain brackets, dock post mount brackets) that cannot be lined up to share mounting bolts with a corresponding corner bracket.
Hole pattern matches most major dock hardware manufacturers (Dock Edge, Kwikdox, etc.). Holes sized for 3/8" fasteners. Manufactured in Canada from North American Steel.
