These 24" x 24" Premium Ipe Deck Tiles offer a full 4 square feet of coverage per tile giving them the closest appearance to a natrual deck surface.  They are built with heavy duty slats, yet are still extremely economical per square foot, even relative to competitors lighter, smaller tiles.   The tiles come predrilled with bottom mount holes for use with Deckwise's innovative tile connectors.  Because the tiles are so large, only one tile connector is required for each 4 square feet of deck area and the time required to lay a given deck area is shorter, both of which further impact the cost savings.

Ipe Deck Tiles are an incredibly simple and cost effective way to turn a drab outdoor area into a beautiful outdoor hardwood floorspace.  Perfect for balconies, rooftops, patios, courtyards and recovering existing decks.

We preoil these tiles on all sides with Messmer's UV+ for Hardwoods prior to assembling them.  As a result they look amazing right out of the box, they are protected from day one so they can acclimatize nice and slowly to their new environment, and they are protected from going grey from UV exposure.  Reoiling them is a simple and quick process - as long as it's done once every year or two the tiles will maintain the beautifully rich natural colour of Ipe.

If you are planning on letting the deck tiles weather naturally to silvery/grey, then reoiling is not required, however the intially oiling on all four sides of each slat is still wise as the oil on the underside of the boards will last a very long time and offer protection from the moist environment underneath the tiles.
