NOTE: Feedback from our customers indicates that "Ultimate Citric Brightener with Mildewcide" tends to outperform "Messmer's Deck & Wood Brightener". This makes sense from a chemistry standpoint since Ultimate Brightener uses stronger active ingredients with an organic base (citric vs. sodium percarbonate), includes a mildewcide to combat mold and mildew, does not have a shelf life, and because it's liquid rather than a powder it mixes better or can be applied directly with a pressure washer using the chemical additive tube/reservoir.
This easy-to-use brightener is a crucial second step (after cleaning) in preparing both new and old wood for staining. It will help remove old grey wood fibres, eliminate tannin stains, and neutralize residual cleaner so that the wood is at the ideal neutral Ph level for staining.
Brightens approximately 4-500 square feet of wood surface.
